Food clinic
In 2016 TreeHaus nutritionist Katie Joubert, launched The Kids Food clinic - exploring, enjoying and eating food.
the sessions ran for an hour after school for 6 weeks and covered topics such as; What is food? Protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals and good fats. What would your favourite super hero or athlete eat? What is in your lunch box? What foods will help you in school, at sport and playing? Pancake decorating with different fruit. Preparation with cleaning, chopping and making pizza on flat bread.
It was lovely to see how after only a few times in the kitchen, children grew in their confidence, willingness to participate in food related activities and taste foods they usually wouldn't.
The food clinic will run again this year during school terms. Please enquire within.
