Nutrition and Diatetics

A nutrition clinic is conveniently located at TreeHaus offering private and practical consultations with an experienced Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD). APDs are the most qualified healthcare professionals to provide expert nutrition and dietary advice.

- General healthy eating support
- Weight loss, weight gain or weight management
- Nutrition for infants and children
- Autism spectrum disorders
- Food chemical Intolerance
- FODMAP intolerance
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Polycystic ovarian syndrome
- Nutrition during pre-pregnancy, pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Cardiovascular disease, hypertension (high blood pressure) and cholesterol
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus, gestational diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance
- Sports nutrition
What to expect
Everybody is an individual and may require either one, or multiple consultations. Our APD will tailor their advice and nutrition programs to suit individual needs.
The initial consultation will involve an assessment of current health and nutrition status including medical history, body measurements, biochemical markers (if available) and discussion of lifestyle and health goals. A personalised eating plan may then be developed based on nutrient/energy requirements, goals and lifestyle factors. This may include follow up consultations, food diaries, and take home information such as resources, fact sheets, recipes and eating plans.
Follow up consultations may be required to support progress, monitor weight and body measurements and amend eating plans as required.
Most private health funds provide rebates for people who visit an APD. A referral is not necessary to see an APD as a private patient, but is needed to see an APD under Medicare.
Cancellation policy - please provide at least 24hrs notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment. A 50% cancellation fee will apply for any appointments cancelled within 24hrs.
